We practically and relationally support our friends in the Stillwaters community, a Christian group that provides a place of belonging and support for a diverse range of people, particularly those on the margins of society. Many of us are deeply invested in Stillwaters, whether through living there, or participating in the Friday evening community meal and the Sunday evening church service.
Central hosts Te Aro Health Centre, a primary healthcare provider for over 1,700 people in the inner city of Wellington. The centre serves those who hold community services cards and offers care for individuals with drug, alcohol, and psychiatric concerns, as well as immigrants and refugees. The church purchased and renovated a building to meet the centre’s needs and support the initiative to serve the underprivileged in their community. To reach the clinic, call (04) 385 0255.
The Boulcott Fund was established in 1992 to distribute income generated from the church’s car park building for mission-related projects in Aotearoa and abroad. However, due to earthquake strengthening work, allocations from the fund are not being accepted at the moment. In the past, the Fund has enabled us to support various justice organisations such as the Wellington Sexual Abuse Help Foundation, Kaibosh, and House of Grace.
